The Zoo That Puts Vistors In Cages While The Animals Roam Free

Most of us, at some point, have seen animals in a zoo that we had only previously seen in movies or books. Our childhoods often have an exciting memory of being at the zoo.

As we grow older, many of us have realized that keeping these animals in captivity can be inhumane. When we confine them in zoos, we deprive them of their freedom simply to entertain ourselves. They are living beings that deserve more from us. They need respect. We take them out of their natural habitat and cage them. We take their freedom.

A zoo in China thought this was wrong as well and decided to make a change. They wanted to entertain people without making the animals suffer. The people are still able to observe the animals but instead of caging the animals, the people are in the cages. This is taking place at the Lehe Ledu Wildlife Zoo. People are kept in the cages while the animals, such as lions, tigers, and bears, walk around outside of these cages.

The people can also feed the zoo animals as well. They have live chickens and the animals jump up and get the food from the people. This way, people get the thrill without actually being in harm's way. The people are required to keep their hands in the cage at all times so nothing happens to them. There are people out there who oppose being this close to the animals. They think it is dangerous, but despite the concerns, the zoo is very popular. Tickets sold out in the first three months when it opened in 2015 according to The Daily Mail.

Well, would you dare enter one of these cages? Do you think this is something other zoos should consider? Let us know in the comments and be sure to pass this article along!
