Watch this video and witness, firsthand, the power of self-preservation.

There is a lot to be said about the will to live. Baby Francesca, born at 24 weeks, is a testament to that will. Technically, she was born just 2 days after the abortion cut-off date. In the video, we can see that she weighed less than two pounds and was barely alive when she was born. Her chance for survival was slim to none.

The doctors who delivered this premature miracle told the mother that there was no chance for survival. Born at only 24 weeks, the baby was just too fragile and small. Her little body just wasn't ready to support life on its own. Her feet were the size of pennies and her little hands were smaller than the size of fingernails.

Victoria Bradley, Francesca's 37-year-old mother, was shattered. All of her hopes and dreams for her new baby had come to a screeching halt. At this stage of her pregnancy, she should have been planning baby showers. Now, her only focus was to keep her baby alive somehow and nurture her into a healthy child.

This determined mother went to all means to save her baby. She knew in her heart that little Francesca would live and she was ready to go to whatever lengths necessary to make sure that her little girl would grow up to be a healthy child. Victoria took her to the best doctors and made sure that her every need was attended to.

During Francesca's first few weeks of life she had numerous medical emergencies. Her organs just weren't fully developed and she suffered from heart ailments, collapsed lungs and kidney infections. She also battled meningitis, endured fifteen blood transfusions, and even had a laser eye surgery performed.

The video shows Francesca at nine months old, now a picture of health that is improving daily. A critically premature baby who doctors gave no chance of survival had battled all of the odds and persevered. The will to live that she and her mother shared had prevailed over all of the obstacles that stood in her way. She is now a healthy baby thanks to the determination of her mother.

This just goes to show us that even though we may not understand something, our faith will lead us in the right direction if we listen to that little voice that is guiding us. Victoria Bradley listened to that voice and made sure that her precious baby had every chance for survival.

Francesca is one powerful little fighter. Born just barely after the legal abortion date, there was little to no chance of survival for her. But, she beat the odds with the help of her mother and more medical professionals than most of us will see in our entire lifetime. Her will to live won out in the end.

Let's hear some of your stories about determination and the will to live and how it prevails in the end. We may not fully understand how it works. But, we can all be inspired by the strength of the power of self-preservation.
