Happy birthday to Prince William! June 21, 2021, marks the day that the Duke of Cambridge turns 39 years old. It is believed that Kate Middleton may pull out all the stops to help her husband celebrate his birthday this year.

For the time being, William will be celebrating his birthday with his immediate family, as coronavirus restrictions continue to be in place in the UK. He may not be able to meet his father or grandmother at this time. However, that has certainly not stopped other members of the royal family from sending in their wishes on social media. William is certainly deeply loved by his family as well as the public, and many family members are joining in on wishing the Duke of Cambridge a very happy birthday!

William's wife, Kate Middleton, had reportedly been preparing for his birthday celebration for quite some time now. Kate Middleton's parents, Carole and Michael Middleton — actually have two reasons to celebrate on this special day. Not only is it the day after Father's Day and William's birthday, it's also Carole and Michael Middleton's 41st wedding anniversary. The parents of three are mom and dad to not only their daughter, Duchess Catherine, but also to daughter Pippa Middleton and their only son James Middleton. Because William is rather close to Kate's parents, it's for certain that he will receive well wishes from his parents-in-law on his last birthday in his thirties.

William was born on June 21, 1982, to the Prince of Wales and his then-wife, Diana, Princess of Wales at the Lindo Wing of St Mary's Hospital, London. The following morning, his parents debuted the newborn Prince to the world on the steps of the hospital for his very first photo-op, which is a tradition when it comes to royal babies.

At just nine months old, William joined his parents on his very first Royal Tour in a 6-week-long visit in Australia and New Zealand. According to Hello Magazine, the prince took part in the tour at the request of Diana. The decision was controversial at the time, as the first and second in line to the throne were to travel together.

William was only 15 years old when Diana tragically passed away after a harrowing car crash. The loss of their mother was especially devastating for William and Harry due to the nature of the loss as well as the media frenzy that came right after. The photograph of two young boys walking at the funeral procession is haunting even today.

Through the years, William has shown immense strength and grace despite the tragedies that have come into his life. Along with his wife, Kate, William has become one of the most popular royals today. He has embraced his destiny as the future king and has been an unwavering point of support for his grandmother and the Crown.

While only time will tell how William celebrated his 39th birthday today, we are sure that he will enjoy spending time with his family in London.

Express UK reported that according to royal expert Kate Nicholl, the Duchess of Cambridge will likely "pull out all the stops" to ensure that William feels appreciated on his birthday after a tough year. She also said,

"Kate always makes birthdays and celebrations special for William and the children. She's very much like her mother Carole in that respect. She'll be aware that this year has been tough for William and will want both his birthday and Father's Day to be special for him."

For the Cambridges, nothing is more important than their family. Nicholl added that "Kate keeps William very grounded and she likes to show how important he is to her and the children. Especially after everything they've been through this year. It's only brought them closer."

Prince William shares his birthday with Kate Middleton's parents' wedding anniversary. Carole and Michael Middleton met while Carole was working as a flight attendant for British Airways, and Michael was a flight dispatcher. The couple got married on June 21, 1980, in Buckinghamshire, England. According to Marie Claire, William has a very good relationship with his in-laws. While on a royal tour of Scotland with Kate, William explained just how fond he is of Carole and Michael. He said:

"The funny thing is when I spoke to my family I found it so good to catch up but then you haven't anything to catch up on because no one had done anything. Some people are happy they haven't seen their in-laws for a year. I love my in-laws."
