Pigs come in fourth when it comes to being an intelligent creature. They are able to recognize themselves in a mirror. Only a few other animals have the intelligence to do this, such as dolphins and elephants.

A piglet can also recognize his or her name at just a few weeks old. In contrast, a human baby may take up to five to seven months to recognize their name. A piglet can also pretend to fight, move a joystick, and navigate mazes. They are naturally inquisitive and love to learn new things.

Pigs are not the dirty animals we make them out to be. They only roll in the mud to keep their body cool during hot weather, as they cannot sweat. However, when they are taken care of properly, they have little odor.

Pigs do not have fur. Instead, they have hypoallergenic hair that will not cause an allergic reaction in most cases. They do not shed, either! This is one of the reasons that pet pigs make great pets. As long as they are bathed and groomed regularly, there is little odor and no shedding to worry about.

Pigs love to cuddle with others. They actually crave love and attention from other pigs and their owners. They are pack animals, just like humans and dogs. They will let you know when they want to cuddle with you or if they want scratches.

Pigs can communicate their needs with humans. They squeal, bark, and cough when they are around people they have interacted with before. They may even make a sound that many people believe is a laugh when they are given a new toy or a good treat.

When a pig considers you to be family, they will actually greet you with a squeal when they see you. They will then roll over for a belly rub! They are truly thrilled to see their human owners and will not hesitate to show it.

Pigs have very good memories. Studies have concluded that pigs have the ability to remember where their food is stored and will seek it out. They can remember certain directions and have the ability to make it home from a long distance. They can also recognize humans and can remember at least 30 other pigs.

Many people believe that pigs will eat anything; however, this is more of an urban legend. Pigs are generally fussy eaters. A wild pig will forage for their food for a while. They root for food with their long snouts and have a great sense of smell. They enjoy a wide variety of meals. They also eat slowly and savor their food. While there is a saying, “eat like a pig,” this is absolutely not true for these delicate animals.

Pigs are very good mothers. They develop strong bonds with their piglets, just like many human mothers tend to do. A mother pig in the wild will build a nest for her babies wherever she feels is the safest for them. Wild pigs have been known to search over six miles in order to find what they think is the safest place to give birth.

She will then stay with her piglets for two weeks before she brings them back to the herd to wean them and show them the skills needed to survive in the wild. A mother pig will get anxious and nervous if she is separated from her babies. She will also mourn if the babies are taken from her.

Pigs have the ability to be heroes when the situation calls for it. You may have heard the stories of pet pigs saving other animals and humans from intruders, fires, and drowning. There have also been tales of pigs who have escaped trucks that were headed for the slaughterhouse. This shows that pigs know that they want to live, just like humans do.

Pigs have individual personalities and feelings, just like humans. Some pigs are playful while others have a more serious nature. Some pigs are shy around humans while others are more daring. There have been cases of pigs who have gotten depressed and sad, too. Pigs are complex creatures who experience a wide range of emotions. Pigs are also aware of any losses that may have occurred to them.

Pigs are very sensitive creatures. They will become depressed and anxious if they are forced to be in confined, cramped areas. They are peaceful creatures who only get aggressive if they or their piglets are being threatened. They are happy, optimistic animals who enjoy having fun.

Too many pigs are being raised for slaughter in this country. They are kept in gestation crates and forced to have babies over and over again. Many of them are kept in dirty, overcrowded conditions while being fed poor food. Pigs deserve better in this world. They are happy, loving creatures who all deserve the chance to be happy.
