The Internet Swears Missouri Mom Akeisha Is Twin Of Meghan Markle

Missouri-based influencer, Akeisha Land, is 39-years-old and devotes her account to her two children, Greyson and Tristan Land. Because of a selfie Land posted on Instagram, people on the internet are convinced that she is the long-lost twin of Meghan Markle, due to their look-alike features.

On January 30th, Akeisha Varnado Land posted a selfie with her daughter Greyson on their Instagram account. Land is a Kansas City, Missouri-based influencer who people have said looks very much like Duchess Meghan Markle.

The selfie went viral and commenters on the photo shared their disbelief at just how uncanny the resemblance is between Land and Markle. Many commenters said that the photo sparked confusion because they weren't sure whether it was Land or Markle.

Because of the internet phenomenon, Land has since been interviewed by E! News and other publications. The media attention has been much more than Land expected, but she says that she finds people mistaking her for Meghan flattering: 

"I take it as a huge compliment. I think she's gorgeous so to be mistaken for a royal is definitely quite a compliment."

Although Land was used to her children being the focus of her Instagram account, "I am going to start to try to be more in front of the camera," she told E! News.

Even though Land says that the new attention has given her "anxiety" she realizes that the wave of stardom has opened up many opportunities for her aside from her sucessful Instagram account.
