The Internet Is In Awe After A 9-Year-Old Girl's Intuition Saves A Newborn Baby

It was a typical day for Elysia Laub, a nine-year-old girl with a great passion for volleyball. She and her family were about to leave their home for the day to attend to errands elsewhere. However, an unexplained urge made her abandon her regular activities and head out into the backyard.

It was there that she would uncover something remarkable and save a life in the process.

During her walk, she nearly turned around to head back home when she heard a crying sound. Confused and curious, she followed the sound to a thick patch of bushes. After she pushed the bushes away, she discovered a newborn child wailing. The child was kicking its legs and crying loudly. Initially, she thought the wailing sound might be from a newborn pig or a pig that was in trouble since her family raises and owns a few pigs.

She had not expected to see a human baby laying there.

Panicked, Elysia rushed back home to find her mother and tell her what she had found. As you might imagine, her mom thought that Elysia may have been daydreaming or mistook something for something else. However, Elysia managed to convince her mother to follow her to the backyard. Once she saw the baby for herself, she told Elysia to run back home and call the police.

Elysia did just that and law enforcement rushed to the scene. They noticed that the baby still had its umbilical cord attached. No doubt the mother had either given birth nearby and displaced the child there in the bushes, or she had gone into labor elsewhere and thought to abandon the child in the thick of the bushes where no one might find it. Luckily, the police determined that other than a bit of sunburn, the child was unharmed and healthy. They had discovered that the baby had likely been there lying there for a few hours.

As you might expect, the police searched for the possible mother. Their investigation led them to a teenaged girl who also lives in the neighborhood.

Of her initial urge to go outside and look around, Elysia claims that God was working through her. He had sent her the desire to go outside and wander in the exact location where she would hear the baby's cries. Elysia believes that God had wanted her to save that baby. After she explained this to the police, they called Elysia the baby's guardian angel.

Elysia's mom has asked that everyone pray for the mother of the child who is probably not a bad person, but merely someone who is very scared and needs help.
