This has been the only knowing occasion of the crucial rule being broken.

This requirement was something that everyone in the family had to get adjusted to, especially Meghan Markle. She was a former actress, so she was likely used to signing autographs for her many adoring fans; she has had to reel that back in order to follow royal guidelines. Luckily, she is still allowed to take photos — and even selfies — with her fans and show her gratitude for them in that way.

Although these restrictions are set in place, rules are sometimes broken. The cardinal rule of not signing autographs has been known for being one of the more serious delegations the royal family has been given.

While fans would be able to cherish such an incredible memento of their meeting with the royals, signing anything poses too much of a security risk.
