A girl suffering from Morquio Syndrome (a rare genetic disease in which the body is not able to produce enough enzymes to break long chains of sugar molecules serving as lubricants and shock absorbers in the body) found herself walking again after meeting her service dog.

For Bella, she was unaware that at age 11 she would be diagnosed with a disorder that would affect the formation of her skeleton and therefore hinder her mobility.

With the primary concern of helping her child, Bella’s mother decided to get her a service dog named George while she was volunteering at the Service Dog Project, Inc. Upon meeting George who is a Great Dane, the two hit it off right away and became inseparable most of the times. “George is my best friend. He needed me as much as I needed him,” Bella shared in the video.

To show her gratitude for all the good things happening in her life, Bella together with BarkPost were able to give George a Dog’s Best Day. A day full of treats, shopping, and pampering. A day that is all about George.
