The gorgeous plant originated in the warm climates of the Canary Islands, as per Southern Living, so they are happy in hot temperatures. It is recommended that they live in USDA Hardiness Zones 10 or 11, which include places like Southern California or Florida. For those who live outside of these zones, the plants can thrive if they are brought inside from the outdoors in cold weather.

Another upside of the hearty, heat-loving plant is that they also require just a bit of water and good soil to thrive. According to House Beautiful, they should not be placed in the direct sun all day because they will get burned.

They are a perfect alternative for plant parents who want the beauty of a rose blossom that will last year-round. They would also be ideal for weddings or other special occasions since succulents do not seem to be going out of style any time soon. It could also be a one-of-a-kind present to bring home to the partner who is not that into roses.
What do you think of the rose succulent? Do you prefer the way a real rose looks or these layered evergreen beauties?
