Thank You For Leaving Her Broken
Mar 06, 2019 by apost team
There's something I want to say to the person who broke her. Thank you for breaking her. It sent her running away from you, and right into my arms. She is the love of my life and actually the best thing that ever happened to me. If you hadn't done what you did, I would never have had the chance to meet her, appreciate her, and treat her the right way. My gain is your loss.

You don't know me. You may have heard my name, but not much else. But, here's one thing to know about me. I'm the one who appreciates the person you took for granted. I saw her light behind the clouds you cast upon her. I gave her the love she deserved.
I have the misfortune of knowing a lot more about you. It's not something I wanted to know, but it comes with being her new boyfriend. She needs someone to listen about how you treated her. She needed someone to understand her pain. She needed someone to trust.

She is happy with me. Thank you for that. It's not all my doing though. She is the one to put herself together again, with me at her side.
My role was minor. I helped kiss her pain away. I gave her a shoulder to cry on. I wiped away the tears that fell. I encouraged her smile and wanted it to last forever. I stayed at her side no matter what.

What blows my mind is the fact that someone could hurt her and cause so much pain. That is what you did to her.
She tells me about the times you mistreated her. My mind simply cannot grasp how a man could do that to the woman he professes to love.
You left her with deep scars. The damage helped to shape her into the woman she is right now. And he is strong and thriving, despite you. All she needed was someone who believes in her to stand by her. It helped her start believing in herself again.

You tried to destroy her self-esteem. She had no faith in herself. She thought no one would love her. She thought she wasn't enough.
Why did this strong woman get so low? Because you transferred your insecurities to her. You lied to her. You manipulated her. You showed what a pathetic person you are.
You took everything she had emotionally. She thought things would never look up again. It has been going wrong for so long, hope was only a faint dream. It had become her normal way of viewing the world. It wore her down.

She was at the point of never trusting anyone again when I first met her. She was scared I was like you. A snake in human skin. She feared that she would get hurt again if she trusted me. She thought there was no hope.
She thought it would be a repeat of what you did to her. I would romance her and make things sweet and dreamy. Then, only show my true colors after it was too late.
My faith in our relationship was shaky. I was scared I was nothing more than a rebound for her while she healed herself.

The best thing? I was completely wrong. She is materially incapable of using someone in that way. She just needed me to be patient and let her have the time to heal. The time to build trust.
Like I said, she did all the work. My part was completely effortless. All I did was put her first.
I love her for the person she is. I have no thoughts of changing her in any way. Everything about her is right. I was going to be there no matter what happened. My first priority was making her feel safe. I wanted to earn her trust.

And I did.
She loves me. Deeply, strongly, authentically. I showed her how to live in a way that she never could with you.
We have a life filled with understanding and respect between two people who love each other. Life can get rough at times, but we are there to share the sorrows together. Life is special and amazing once we found each other. Our love is true and strong.

Saying thank you to you is awkward because the last thing I want her to be is broken. But, you had to happen before she could find me. You gave her the impetus to find herself, become strong and confident.
If you weren't a part of her past, our paths might have never come together. We would likely be with other people in average relationships. We wouldn't be with the person who appreciates what we are together. We wouldn't be able to live the amazing lives we love now.

So, you have my sincere thanks for breaking her. She found herself in my arms. I am her safe haven, the home she loves.
