Terminally Ill Boy's Dream Comes True When Celebrity Hero Surprises Him For 13th Birthday

John Cena is more than just a WWE champion wrestler, bodybuilder, and actor. This Hollywood mogul is also a hero. 

Many people know Cena for his roles in the hit movies “Bumblebee” and “Ferdinand.” 12-year-old Diego Hernandez has had a rough life, but throughout it all, Cena has remained his hero.

According to WHSV, the terminally ill boy from San Diego is set to turn 13 on June 1. However, his childhood has not always been easy. After being born with craniosynostosis, the boy had to undergo surgery when he was only eight days old. Just a day later, Diego suffered a stroke. Since then, Diego has had to go through five additional surgeries. 

Despite the doctors saying that there is nothing else that they can do to help him, Diego remains happy and positive. His mother, Wendy Seekford, said that Diego's attitude is a true testament to his character.

With his birthday approaching, Diego said that he wanted to celebrate with a WWE-themed party. Cena got wind of this birthday wish and decided to pay the sweet boy a visit. Not only did he show up to the party with a box full of swag, but he also took the time to stay for a bit and visit with Diego.

Talk about a dream come true for this young man! Although he has been busy working on the relaunch of “Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader,” Cena still took the time to make Diego's birthday wish come true.
