Sometimes, leaving a job behind can come complete with tears and sad goodbyes. Then other times the change comes with a lot of dance moves! That’s exactly what happened when Chino Police Department officer, Ryan Tillman, was promoted to Corporal and had to leave his position at the local high school behind. His performance stunned the students and is spreading across the internet like wildfire!

Ryan was actually very sorry to see his job go. Ryan’s main purpose behind working with the school was to formulate good relationships between cops and the citizens of the community.

According to Breaking Barriers United website During his younger years, Ryan knew exactly what it was like to be on opposing sides with the police. Although he hadn’t committed any crimes, Ryan was stopped by authorities multiple times, making him feel like they were more enemies than friends. After years of being stopped and searched after doing nothing wrong, Ryan wanted to stay as far away from the cops as possible. But that all changed when he and his wife had their first child.

Once Ryan became a dad, he realized that his job as an insurance salesman would no longer pay their growing bills, so he got a job with the police force that he had resented for so long. After joining up with the police, Ryan started looking for ways to improve relations between the officers and the community. He threw his heart into it and formulated a group called “Breaking Barriers United”.

Working at the Don Lugo High School, Ryan put his plan into action and became an authority figure that the children respected and grew to love.

According to the Breaking Barriers United website, Ryan did so good with his job that the Chino Police Department decided to promote him to Corporal. While the promotion was a blessing, it meant that Ryan would have to give up his position at the school.

Rather than having a sad goodbye, Ryan ended his school career with a out-of-this-world dance performance. The school’s hip hop dance team did the backup routine, while Ryan did endless moves of his own. The students were thrilled and cheering, impressed that this law enforcement officer can cut a rug when he wants to!
