Most people will say that winning the lottery is one of their biggest dreams. In a single moment, a couple of numbers change your life forever. A young dad in the United Kingdom recently hit the jackpot with a couple of winning numbers in the most unlikely of places.

19-year-old Sam Lawton of Leamington Spa works as a data analyst and is a proud dad of one child. Recently, Sam heard in the news of 24-year-old Dean Weymes winning £3 million in the Set For Life lottery and decided to try his hand at the game. Sam later told reporters from The Sun that he was taking a bath when he decided to download the National Lottery app to his phone. Putting a wager on the Lucky Dip game, Sam waited about an hour and a half to learn that he won the second prize drawing in the game, £10,000 a month for the next 12 months.

Seeing the message on his phone, at first, Sam wasn’t sure if he had actually won. Giving the phone to his girlfriend, 20-year-old Connie Bell, for confirmation. Like Sam, Connie had never played the lottery before and decided to call her older brother, frequent lottery player Craig, to determine if Sam had been victorious. Craig later told the couple that they had indeed won the second-place prize, which was one in 1,704,377 odds. Sam’s lucky numbers were 3, 20, 26, 27, and 32 reports The Sun.

As Sam’s story spreads over the internet, reporters everywhere want to know what the teenage dad will do with his winnings. Sam says that most of the things he wants to do with the money are pragmatic in nature. A top priority for the young man is putting a deposit down on a house for his family. Sam also hopes to buy a new car, possibly a BMW 1 Series, once he gets his driver’s license.

Sam also plans on having some fun with the money. Sam and Connie are planning an extravagant vacation to New York City sometime in the near future. In all, Sam can’t believe his good luck. With Connie by his side, Sam said that the money will make doing everything he wants to do with his life and family all the easier.

What do you think of Sam’s good luck in winning the lottery? What would you do if you just won the lottery?
