It is easy to put on a good show when you know that you are being watched or possibly captured on camera. What is really impressive is when somebody acts in a noble way when they think that nobody is watching.

One particular teacher in North Carolina happened to catch a student paying respect to his nation when he thought that nobody was around. The teacher was so touched by the moment that she posted the picture to her Facebook.

The teacher, Angie Gallimore, said that the South Davidson student was alone in a parking lot as he was headed to his football practice. When he heard the National Anthem being played at a softball game, he immediately stopped and put his hand on his heart.

One of Angie's followers recognized the young man and then tagged his mother in the picture so that she could see.

The student was then identified as Jacob Pope. Angie had actually been Jacob's teacher in middle school. Even back then, she knew that he was a special man, saying that he was one of the most respectful students that she had ever taught as she wrote in the comments of her post.

Jacob said to WGHP that he has been surprised by all of the attention that the photo is receiving. "No one was there,” he said. “I just stopped because it was the right thing to do.“

Now you can see this picture of Jacob doing the right thing. After you have checked it out, be sure to spread the story to your friends and family. We all could learn a lesson from this patriotic and respectful young man.
