Some people may enjoy random conversations with complete strangers on public transportation. Others are not so good with the conversation thing. If you are like me, you probably wear your headphones when you don't want to talk to anyone. Interestingly, some of us may not be listening to anything and may actually eavesdrop on your conversation.
This is what happened to Courtney Robb, a 17-year old Aberdeen student that was having a conversation with her friend on a public train. There was a lady seated opposite her with her headphones on. Courtney didn't think much of the stranger and continued to tell her friend about her life problems.

At the time, Courtney was telling her friend about the anxieties she faced from doing her new course. She also told her friend that she was tired of talking to the police every time about a crime that she had witnessed. She was so fed up with everything and felt overwhelmed.
After telling her friend what was on her mind, Courtney went back home and found a mysterious note in her backpack. She read the note and almost cried because it was what she felt she needed at the time – The note told her that she was beautiful and had nothing to worry about. The writer encouraged her to focus on the future and not to allow the past to tie her down. Then at the end, the writer revealed herself as the woman who sat opposite her on the train.
Courtney posted the note on social media in the hopes that the woman would reveal herself so that she could thank her personally. The woman still remains a stranger, but what she did deserves to be praised. She helped someone she didn't know deal with her issues.
