Teen's Petition To Schedule Super Bowl For Saturday Is Getting Momentum

A 16-year-old high school student in New York named Frankie Ruggeri has started an online petition to change the Super Bowl from Sunday to Saturday.

Frankie started the petition because having the event on Sunday makes it difficult for a lot of viewers. He told CNN that young people and adults all have to get up early the next day after a late-night viewing of the biggest game of the year for football fans.

If the Super Bowl was moved to Saturday, more people will watch and the NFL will make more money, Frankie argues. Evidently, many people agree with him and the petition has reached almost 80,000 signatures as of Wednesday.

When the Rams fan was asked by CNN how he feels about the overwhelmingly positive response to his petition, he said, "It's like if the Rams won the Super Bowl pretty much."

What do you think? Do you see Frankie's side of the argument? Should the Super Bowl be moved to a Saturday from now on?
