Teen Passing Stranger In Store Spots His Shirt, Feels Compelled To Take Picture - Later, It Saved His Life

Karen Aguayo was shopping at Costco with a few friends when she noticed a man with an interesting shirt. The plain black shirt with writing on the back caught her attention, compelling her to take a picture. The writing was a call to action and stated that he was in need of an organ donor, FOX News reported. 

The girls stopped the man and decided that they had to take a picture and post the picture on social media, which may have actually been the saving grace the man needed.

Robert Duran is in need of a kidney transplant has been waiting for a donor for quite some time.

One of the difficult things about being in need of an organ is the fact that the list is quite long and can take years.

Tons of people don't make it, which is why Robert came up with the crafty idea to make a shirt asking for help.

He currently has to go through dialyzes three times a week, which takes a total of four hours each time. found an organ donor as of yet.

He figured that his best shot to get a donor in a shorter period of time would be to essentially advertise his plight on the back of his shirt.

After running into the girls at Costco, they stated they felt compelled to share his story on Twitter. Since posting the picture to social media he has gotten a ton of responses, although he has not

However, there has been so much attention called to his story that it is quite apparent he is going to get the kidney he needs in a short amount of time.

This story is not only heartwarming, but it really shows that there are still people who care about others and are willing to do something to help. Robert made the decision that he was not going to simply sit back and wait for an organ donor to come knocking at his door.

The simple decision he made to advertise his need for an organ on the back of his shirt is likely going to pay dividends. His story has been shared thousands of times on social media and there is no doubt he dramatically increased his chances of obtaining the kidney that he so desperately needs.
