Louis was worried when he saw that a woman was sitting in her wheelchair, totally unprotected under the clear and blazing day. He pulled his car over, took out an umbrella, and made his way to the woman.

He felt the compulsion to stop and make sure she was okay. His resulting kindness has been going viral as it restores people's faith in humanity.

Louis felt like it was too hot for anybody to be out there alone. He also had no idea what disabilities the woman might be dealing with. It was possible that she was more susceptible to heatstroke and other illnesses related to heat exhaustion than he would be.

So he did what he thought was the right thing - he held his umbrella for the woman for the woman while she waited for her transportation.

It took longer than usual for the Metro Lift to arrive for the woman, which meant that they waited for an hour and forty-five minutes total. But the two took the wait in stride as the joked and laughed together, discovering they had a great deal in common.

Louis was laughing as he recounted the story. He says that she's in a book club and likes pork chops. The two of them spent the entire time joking together. Now, this originally-random act of kindness is a regular routine. Every time Louis sees that Michelle is waiting for her bus, he brings his umbrella over and says hello to her.

Louis' mother says that she's unbelievably proud of her son. Last year, Louis rescued his grandmother after she became trapped during Hurricane Harvey. Louis wants to help others because he's experienced rough times himself.

What an unlikely friendship! What do you think of this young man's actions?
