Thanks to a quick-thinking teenage boy, a 12-year-old girl might have been saved from falling into the hands of a child predator.

Cameron Cook was shopping at a local Target in Boston with his mother when a strange man caught his eye. The perceptive teen noticed the man walking around and grabbing himself with a demonic look in his eye. Cameron said that the man seemed fixated on a 12-year-old girl walking through the toy aisle.

When Cameron's mom told him that it was time to go, Cameron's instincts told him that he needed to stick around. Once they got closer, Cameron's mother, Heather, noticed that the man smelled strongly of alcohol.

Cameron sprang into the action and asked the stranger if he knew the girl after he saw him rubbing himself up against her. Cameron then suggested that the man leave the store. The man relented and left while swearing all the way out before hopping into an awaiting vehicle.

Heather praised her son's instincts and bravery, calling him a hero. Despite the man's large size, Cameron showed no fear in approaching him.

The girl escaped unscathed, thanks to Cameron's heroics. The girl's mother had gone to the bathroom and had no idea she was leaving her daughter in such potential danger. She was extremely thankful that Cameron was around to protect her daughter.

Cameron's bravery caught the eye of both the Boston City Council and the NBA Boston Celtics. He was honored by both organizations for his courage.

Be sure to watch his story and then make sure everyone that you know also learns of this amazing young man. The world can definitely use more Camerons around!
