Airports are busy, fast-paced environments where travelers await the arrival and departure of flights from all over the world. However, travelers at London Southend Airport recently experienced something a little different.

The spectacle began with the approach of a woman wearing a green jacket to the center of the airport. The woman began an Irish dance routine. Curious travelers who were nearby watched in surprise. Even shoppers at establishments close to the woman stopped what they were doing and smiled at the dancing woman.

A young man, who at first appeared to be an onlooker, slowly approached the woman. To the delight of the crowd, he began dancing with her.

A second man soon joined the dancing pair and the crowd cheered loudly. It was obvious they were enjoying the performance. Their joy was increased when more dancers joined the group.

The crowd grew larger with each foot tap from the dancers. The floor level above the dancers was also filled with onlookers enjoying the performance. Many travelers took phones from their pockets to record the flash mob.

Mid-way through the flash mob performance, another group of young people joined the show. The audience was amazed at how they meshed perfectly with the first group while performing the Irish dance routine. These were a truly talented group of dancers.

The dancers peeled their jackets from their bodies. They all wore white shirts underneath. The performance was in promotion of Aer Lingus Regional Service. The people watching continued to cheer and clap loudly.

A total of 40 talented dancers performed for the stunned travelers at London Southend Airport. No one who was present for the event will ever forget the performance they witnessed. The dancers truly thrilled the crowd.

McGahan Lees Dance Academy is a performing arts school located in Essex, England. This is where the young dancers train.
