Teen Boy Can't Speak After Stroke When Sisters Notice Him Trying To Communicate By Blinking

When someone has a stroke, they are sometimes left unable to communicate with their family and friends. They are sometimes left unable to walk or move like they once did. One teenager who suffered from a stroke was unable to talk to his family until his sisters noticed that he could do something special with his eyes.

Rafi Solaiman was only 12 years old when he had a stroke. Up until that point, he played outside with his friends and sisters and did the things that most normal boys do each day.

He told his mother that he felt dizzy one afternoon after playing and that he had a headache.

When Rafi got to the hospital, he was unconscious. Unfortunately, there was a time bomb of sorts in Rafi's brain ever since he was little. It was just a matter of time until it went off.

When the blood vessels in Rafi's brain popped, it caused a hemorrhage and stroke that left the young boy fighting for his life.

Rafi had trouble remembering even the simplest things, couldn't eat like he once did, and was unable to talk. His doctors discovered that he could still hear what was going on around him but couldn't respond. Rafi's family visited him every day.

When his sisters were talking to him one day, they noticed that he would blink his eyes when they were talking to him.

Discover what the sisters found out about their brother and how they are now able to hear from him.
