In large cities, public transportation such as the subway is a common way people get around. New York City has a vast subway system that is often much faster than driving by car. It is also more practical. The subway is often a busy place to be, full of people on the go. However, street performers can sometimes make people stop for just a moment. And that’s exactly what took place in this video.

On 34th Herald Street Square in New York City, a quintet of brass players put their skill to good use. When they started playing, everyone around them seemed to smile.

No one knew what hit them. The trumpet, trombone, saxophones, and sousaphone played and the sound transformed one of the busiest subways. There was even a drummer in the group that called themselves Lucky Chops.

The group formed in 2006. They play pop and jazz music mostly.

The band includes Daro Behroozi the tenor sax, Josh Holcomb on the trombone, Leo Pellegrino on baritone saxophone, Raphael Buyo playing the sousaphone, Charles Sams on drums, and Joshua Gawel on the trumpet.

The Lucky Chops are known for covering popular songs and giving them a twist of their own.

The group shows that it is worth stopping and listening to your surroundings sometimes. Usually, people just use the subway to get from one place to the next and don’t stop to look around him. They have a fun and energetic performance and people even throw them some money.

The sax players look like they never even need to take a breath. They breeze through the performance smooth as anything. Everyone looks like they are having the best time of their lives, dancing as they play. All of the players have a wide range of notes from high to low on their instruments.

This video so far has two million views on YouTube. Everyone loves the fun and brassy music!
