Sylvester Stallone Celebrates 23rd Marriage Anniversary With Wife Jennifer Flavin

Hollywood couples aren't always known for long relationships, especially not for those lasting over two decades. So when Sylvester Stallone and his wife Jennifer Flavin announced their 23rd wedding anniversary on May 17th, we were overjoyed for the happy couple. Posting to Instagram, Jennifer wrote a sweet message for her husband of all these years.

Uploading a recent photo of the two to her Instagram page, in which the couple looks to be at home while donning casual sweaters and appearing relaxed and happy, Jennifer captioned the post with:

"Happy anniversary to us! 23 years! ❤️❤️❤️" Sylvester and Jennifer, who are aged 73 and 51 respectively, look great, with their stunning good looks obviously extending into their older age. 

Although the couple has a long-running happy relationship, their past together isn't so clear cut. Initially meeting in 1988, the couple was together until 1994, at which point they separated and Stallone began a relationship with model Janice Dickinson, believing himself to be the father of her child. After a DNA test proved the baby was not his, he reconciled with Jennifer in 1995 and they've been together ever since.

Sylvester and Jennifer went on to have their first daughter Sophia in 1996, before marrying in a civil ceremony at London's Dorchester Hotel on May 17th, 1997. In the years following, they welcomed two more beautiful daughters into their family, Sistine in 1998, and Scarlet in 2002.

Showing a great admiration for his wife, The Daily Mail recounts an interview Stallone did with The Daily Telegraph, in which he stated:

"It took me 19 years to realize she’s always right...I realized that women have a knack, at least Jennifer, for making incredibly erudite, wise, smart decisions. I always leap without looking."

The couple's two younger daughters, Sistine and Scarlet, both congratulated their parents on their anniversary as well. Taking to Instagram stories, Sistine posted a photo of Sylvester and Jennifer, in which Jennifer is wearing a white midriff top, low-rise jeans, and a veil, while Sylvestor is in a black t-shirt, and wrote:

"23 years of marriage ❤️(their 2nd wedding lol)."

Scarlet also opted to post to IG stories, including another photo of her parents in their younger years with the simple caption, "23 years 💃🏻"

The marriage is not the first for Sylvester, who has had two previous marriages, first with Brigitte Nielson for two years, and then with Sasha Czack for 11 years. Sasha and Sylvester had two sons together, Sage and Seargeoh, however, tragically Sage died of heart disease in 2012, at 26-years-old.

Over the years it's become clear that Sylvestor is a family man who puts his loved ones first. Here's to many more years to Sylvestor and Jennifer's happy marriage.
