Swedish Guard Breaks Rules To Brighten Child's Day While On Duty At Royal Palace

It doesn’t matter how much you have to be stern and stoic at your job - making a child smile is always something you just have to do. Children love to look up to adults, so getting the chance to make a young child happy should never be missed.

Many of us have watched as the members of the Royal Guard of England have broken their own rules just to make a small child smile.

But were you aware that other countries also use guards who are extremely stern and unapproachable? For example, guards in Stockholm, Sweden are trained to put their lives on the line in order to protect the monarchy of the Royal Palace. These particular guards are actually part of the Swedish Armed Forces.

They may be either female or male. The Swedish guards are not supposed to speak to anyone passing by. They have to maintain their position and not break rank. However, they are often caught breaking this rule in a very sweet way, despite the fact that they are technically not permitted to.

Soldier Josefin Korsback is a guard who was caught on camera making the day of a young child who very obviously idolizes him.

The video is now making the rounds all over the internet and with very good reason! Oscar, the boy in the video, is doing a great impression of the guards he sees. He stood in front of Josefin as still as he possibly could in imitation of the man. No matter what the soldier does, Oscar quickly imitates it.

When the little child decides to do a very sharp “about-face” and walks over the cobblestone streets, so does the guard! The two then walk across the courtyard together, which we know delighted the little boy to no end.

While no one spoke a word during this interaction, we know it is something that Oscar will always remember.

After all, not everyone gets to march with the Royal Guard! You can watch Josefin give Oscar a moment he is sure to remember in the video below. When you see it you will know why everyone is making such a fuss over it!
