A show is just as good as its opening is. That is why an award show opening is a big honor for any singer. It was no surprise to anyone that the Billboard Music Awards that took place on May 1 in Las Vegas was opened by Tailor Swift. After all, she is the biggest star on the pop music's arena.

Just a few days prior to the Billboard Music Awards, she released her single "ME!" The music video was seen over 65 million times within 24 hours and quickly shot to the highest spot on the Billboard charts.

When the night of the Billboard Awards came, Taylor Swift used the event to recreate her video at the opening. With a number one place on the charts, it was no surprise to anyone that Taylor Swift opened up the show.

In the opening, she came out dressed with a rainbow-colored fringe dress. She hit the stage like the superstar that she is. In her clip, she even had a marching band come up on stage.

Before the pink-dressed band, she opened her mouth, and the crowd went crazy. Including elements from her newly released video, the crowd saw the same dancers in pastel colored clothes holding handbags.

The most surprising moment was when Brendon Urie, the duet partner of the original song, came on stage flying from above and holding an umbrella.

It was a magical entrance as he joined his famous partner.

During the middle of the show, the pair took a moment to introduce themselves and welcome the people to the show. The two played out a scene of introducing themselves to one another and the crowd.

"Hey kids," started Brandon. Taylor Swift went on to say that Las Vegas is fun. Then she introduced herself by her first name. Not that people didn't know who she is. The two welcomed the crowd to the Billboard Music Awards. It was a fun and engaging opening for everyone.
