Students Raise $400 For Teacher Without Pay Due To Bureaucracy

In Brazil, there is a much loved teacher named Bruno Rafael Paiva. Even though he hadn’t received any pay for over two months, he continued working as a dedicated teacher.

He was working to cover for a coworker who was out on maternity leave. In Brazil, the bureaucracy there caused his name to not be added to the payroll at the school.

Along with not getting paid for two months, he was also sleeping and living at the school in which he was working. The school was way too far from his home to make the commute. Because he wasn’t getting his pay, he couldn’t afford to stay somewhere closer. This is why he had to sleep in his classroom.

The students discovered what Bruno had been going through. The students in his class, Building #1, decided to help the teacher and show their appreciation. They gave him the gift of $400 that they collected from their own pockets.

Bruno didn’t have the slightest clue as to what was waiting inside the box for him. It had been placed on his desk. Little did he know what his loving students had done for him in his time of need.

In the video, he cries and stated, “How can you do this?!” He was shocked to his core.

Bruno completely breaks down and the students jump up to hug him and cry with him. They embrace him.
