Stuck Baby Moose With Brown Eyes Is Grateful That Person Stopped To Save Her

A baby moose got both of her hooves caught in a residential gate and needed help. With a look of desperation in her big, brown eyes, the baby moose stayed trapped in the gate until someone was able to come along and try to rescue her.

A video of the moment the moose gazed at her rescuers has been going viral for its extremely adorable nature. Shot in Quesnel, British Columbia in Canada, the video is a prime example of just how utterly sweet and cute baby animals are and how much they rely on others to care for them.

Moose are pretty large creatures that have plenty of free-range, but this baby moose managed to find herself in a tricky predicament when she misjudged her jumping capabilities. Rather than jump easily over the wooden gate, the baby moose got tangled up in the panels and managed to get her front hooves trapped in the gaps, leaving her stranded and helpless. 

This moose’s thick coat helped to keep her warm while she waited for anyone to come to find her and rescue her, as there was plenty of snow on the ground, and the air was so cold that you could see everyone’s breath.

Thankfully for the baby moose, her bewildered expression and endearing features grabbed the attention of some passersby, and a couple of local residents worked hard at helping the kind animal escape and return back home to where she could be free. Finally, the moose was happy and able to roam the cold Canadian wilderness again.

In the precious video reuploaded by The Dodo, the baby moose’s hooves got stuck in a fence, and some local residents came to her rescue. With her hooves stuck in the gaps between the wood panels, the moose struggled to get out of the tricky situation he had found herself in. When a few men arrived, the moose peered at them with the biggest brown eyes and continued to struggle as they worked to help her escape.

The HuffPost reported that the moose had tried to jump over the gate but instead managed to get herself trapped in the wooden door. The rescuers tried to pry away at the panels and were somewhat successful but needed a little more help. After grabbing an ax to chop away some of the wooden gate, the locals were finally able to free the moose. The kind animal stayed with her rescuers for a moment before eventually heading back home. 

Video uploader ShadowHHR was amazed at the entire ordeal. “Somehow the words ‘there’s a moose stuck in your fence’ doesn’t register on the brain the way you might think,” ShadowHHR said, according to the HuffPost. “You get around the corner to see two hooves sticking out of the fence… and on the other side, the longest, distressed little face, with the biggest brown eyes ever seen.”

It was obvious that these local heroes couldn’t help but save the sweet baby moose with the big brown eyes. She was just too cute to pass by! Since being uploaded by The Dodo, the video of this animal rescue showcasing the moose’s bewildered expression has received more than 26,000 views.
