Stray Kitten With Special Paws Is Found Surviving On Its Own Barely Able To Walk Before Being Rescued

A very special little kitten was born with a highly unique set of paws in Elkhart, Indiana. His name was Scooter and he had a birth defect with his paws that made it difficult for him to do basic tasks. Yet, Scooter was one tough little kitten and he survived five whole weeks while he could barely walk enough to feed himself.

He was exceptionally determined and it wasn’t long before his determination attracted the love of a human that wanted to give Scooter a forever home.

A good samaritan in Indiana found Scooter outside struggling to walk. The rescuer immediately contacted a local animal shelter that focused on helping stray cats called Here Kitty Kitty Rescue. The rescue shelter immediately took in little Scooter. Here Kitty Kitty Rescue said in a social media post, "We don't know how he survived outside for 5 weeks, but Scooter has a will to live! Despite all his problems, Scooter purrs constantly and loves to play with toys."

The rescue was also able to identify the problem with Scooter's legs. "Scooter was born with shortened or tightened ligaments/muscles on one side of his both his front feet. This is what caused his feet to turn in and make him walk funny. The problem is that his feet have been turned in so long, it has affected his bone growth," the rescue said on their online page

Even before his medical treatment, Scooter never let his inward-turned paws keep him from being as achieve as he desires and doing everything he set out to do. He would run after his other furry adopted siblings, play with toys and he would literally reach new heights.

He got along very well with the other cats at Here Kitty Kitty Rescue and the team members there started looking for a new home for Scooter and hoped they would find one where he would have furry siblings to play with. Scooter was adopted by a couple who not only blessed him with his forever home, but they gave him two big brothers to teach him the ropes and provide plenty of playtime according to a post by Here Kitty Kitty Rescue.
