Stranger Pulls Boy From Yard As 11-Year-Old Sister Uses Parents' Lesson To Fight Against Evil Plan

Most parents wish that the world was a completely safe place. None of us want to have to tell our children about the evil that exists in our society. In a perfect world we could let our children stay innocent forever, but for their own safety, sometimes it's important to teach kids about the realities of the world in which we live.

11-year-old Julianne Moore was taught by her father, Joshua, about the predators and evildoers that exist in our world. While Joshua never wanted to scare his little girl, he wanted her to be able to recognize a threat when she sees one.

This lesson would come in handy one sunny afternoon when Julianne was playing with her little brother, six-year-old Hayden, outside their home in the Cleveland suburb of Old Brooklyn. Julianne noticed a man observing her and her brother and muttering under his breath. All of a sudden, the man lunged towards them, grabbing Hayden's little arm. Julianne knew that she didn't have much time to react. She grabbed Hayden's other arm and pulled him, fiercely protective of her little brother. All the while, she screamed for help.

As Julianne pried Hayden free from the creepy man's grasp, she pulled him into the safety of their backyard. There, she alerted her father as to what had just transpired. Joshua bolted out of his yard and towards the street, confronting the predator. However, the man ignored Joshua and began to briskly walk away from the scene. Joshua returned to tend to his children and call the police.

Thankfully, the cops were able to find the perpetrator. According to CBS New York, he's 33-year-old Pedro Luyando of Cleveland and he's currently awaiting trial for attempted child abduction.

The residents of Cleveland are now hailing Julianne as a hero. Joshua says that he couldn't be prouder of her actions, which might have just saved Hayden's life. She said she remembered her parents' lessons of always staying calm and to look out for her little brother.

However, if you think Julianne is shy or sheepish about what happened, think again. Julianne is one confident and self-assured little girl. She didn't underplay the importance of her actions at all when she spoke to the local media.

"I know I saved my brother," Julianne said in an interview with FOX 8. "[If not for me,] he could not be here right now."
