Stranger Bravely Steps In To Defend Foster Mom Being Mocked At Walmart

It’s really important to live by the rule of never judging a book by its cover. This is especially true when it comes to a person.

A couple who went to Wal-Mart soon learned this the hard way when they cruelly mocked a young woman who was surrounded by children at the checkout line.

They immediately assumed that she was taking advantage of the welfare system and couldn’t take care of the kids on her own. They also figured that she had a few different “baby daddies” and that she wasn’t able to clothe the children properly.

However, Lindsay Rae was in that same line. She recognized that this lady was a foster mom. She was trying to purchase some much-needed items for the kids, such as warm winter jackets and shoes that actually fit. Lindsay knew that there was much more to her story than what you could see on the surface.

This is a story that made me cry. You have to realize just how brave a person is to foster children in their own home. Some may be criticized for making money off of these vulnerable kids, but the majority of foster parents are wonderful, selfless people.

Lindsay made sure that she gave the couple a piece of her own mind when she heard them talking. She posted the story to her Facebook page, warning everyone that there was a rant ahead.

To sum up, the lady in front of her had five children she was trying to wrangle. The people behind Lindsay began to whisper mean things about her, such as wondering how many fathers there are and whether or not she was using food stamps.

As the lady did indeed struggle with a food stamp card, Lindsay decided it was time to help. She stepped forward and began to quietly talk to the lady, who told her that the kids were indeed foster children. After she helped her make her purchases, she turned on the couple behind her and let them have it.

It's great that Lindsay was there to stick up for someone who needed help.

We should all take after her example and treat everyone with kindness. You don’t know what is happening in their lives and there is no reason to judge!
