Stop Breaking Your Own Heart – He Is Never Going To Change

Feb 20, 2019 by apost team

You think that this is your fault, but it's not. You wish that you were better, but you aren't the one who needs to improve. He is.

I know that you've come to believe you're really the source of the problem. Maybe he's convinced you that if you were different, he would be, too.

But that's a conditional love, and when it comes to true love, limits don't exist.

You might feel like walking away from him would be the end. You can't see yourself on your own or think of who you are without loving him. But love doesn't make you lose yourself. You deserve to feel strong and empowered in your relationship, not weak and waiting for some type of validation.

I wish that loving someone was enough, but it isn't. Sometimes, our hearts get hung up on the wrong person. It's hard to let go of something we're so sure that we want, but it's important to ask yourself if this is really it. Do you want this relationship as it is, or do you want the relationship you thought this would be?

Sometimes, it's easier to stay loving someone instead of missing them. The pain of letting go might hurt, but loving someone who doesn't give you the same love back is even worse.

You refuse to acknowledged the fact that things aren't getting better, but that's only because deep down, you already know the truth. You know he is never going to change. You know he doesn't love you the way you love him.

Caught Between Love and Heartbreak

Maybe you know that he never loved you at all, and you're too afraid of the pain to let yourself hurt.

If you think this relationship is just something you can wait out, ask yourself what you're waiting for. The man you fell in love with isn't the one you're with now. It doesn't matter how things used to be. If you're only in love with an illusion, you're just hurting yourself by staying in the past and longing for a dream.

Being Alone Isn't What You Think

When you dare to imagine your life outside of his orbit, you see nothing but sadness and isolation. But you fail to see the value of your own companionship. You long for his love so much that you're missing out on your own.

What about your heart? Don't you deserve to feel its love, too?

Saying goodbye to him will free up so much space in your life. You won't have to spend every waking minute wondering how to fix things. Instead of wondering why you aren't good enough, you'll be able to spend time with people who have never questioned your worth.

Breaking up with him and being alone isn't what you think it will be. When you end things for good, you will be closing a long, sad chapter, not finishing the entire story of your life. You have so much to live for and so much to anticipate. Stop breaking your own heart every day. Your time is so much more valuable than him.

This is a Lesson, Not a Loss

You haven't failed by ending things. When you have the strength to leave, you have finally learned what you will and won't stand for in a relationship. He may try to tell you that you're wrong. He might call you horrible names or say you've abandoned him. But just remember how long you've been there. The right man for you won't wait until you'r leaving to tell you how much he loves you. You should be told that every day.

This relationship isn't a loss, it's a lesson learned. You know what you need from a partner, and you know you don't have to settle. It will hurt to let go, but it already hurts now. You can either continue hurting, or you can choose to heal.

You're scared that if you leave, you'll be alone for ever. Don't buy into this fear. I assure you, there is a man out there who is going to worship you. He will honor you, respect you, cherish you and love you, always. That someone is out there right now, but you can't meet him if you stay trapped in this endless cycle of trying to change the man you're with into the person you wish he was.

It's time to let go of your self-doubt. It's time to stop letting someone else determine whether or not you're good enough. It's time to let the truth set you free. Own your value. Own your love. And don't ever let someone convince you it's not worth a damn.
