Steven Tyler is one of the biggest rock stars on the planet. With his iconic raspy voice and charismatic stage presence, he alone can fill arena after arena. Thanks to his band, Aerosmith, Tyler’s impact on their millions of fans worldwide transcends generations.

Steven Victor Tallarico was born on Mar. 26, 1948, in Manhattan, New York. Tyler eventually moved to Boston later on when he formed Aerosmith with his bandmate Joe Perry

After a string of hits in the 70s and 80s like “Walk This Way” and “Dream On,” they kept the momentum of their skyrocketing career in the 90s with “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing,” from the “Armageddon” soundtrack, and “Crazy.”

The band has established a huge following around the globe, sealing themselves as the best-selling American hard rock band of all time. Tyler is a music legend of his own. He is most notable for being called the “Demon of Screamin’” because of his high screams and his powerful wide vocal range. He created his flamboyant stage persona with his signature scarves and outlandish outfits that he still keeps up with today.

He even went on to appear as a judge on “American Idol” for two years and has starred on various television shows throughout the years like “The Simpsons,” “Hell’s Kitchen,” and “Nashville,” among others.

But despite the fact that Tyler is recognizable by his hair alone, the music icon still remains grounded and cherishes his most loyal fanbase, no matter their age or their appearance.

In a post by Diana Yorfido on Facebook last April 2016, she recalled a very important day in her and her son’s life when they met Tyler in a very outlandish location where one would meet a celebrity of his stature.

Turns out, Diana and Anthony, her son, happened to bump into Tyler at a medical supplies store in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada. The shopping trip of the mother and son to get some pantyhose turns out to be probably the biggest coincidence that Anthony would encounter in his entire life.

Speaking to CBC News, Diana recalled how the encounter took place.

“I was picking up my pantyhose, and I saw a stretch limo outside… I went in, and Steven Tyler was leaned over on the counter, and he had a couple [of] ladies with him,” she told the outlet

Surprised by what they saw, Diana said that her son, Anthony, was stunned by the sight of a celebrity, which eventually drove the boy nuts.

“He goes, ‘Is that Steven Tyler?’ Like he totally knows him because he loves Aerosmith and he loves Steven Tyler. He listens to his music all the time,” she said at the time.

Anthony, a child who has down syndrome, is like any other Aerosmith fan.

Describing himself to the outlet as a “really, really, really, really, really, really big” Aerosmith fan, be sure to be confident that he recognized Tyler immediately. Surely, watching him all the time on “American Idol” worked.

“I knew it was him because I saw the back of him. I saw the limo outside. I knew. I saw his ponytail,” Anthony said

Eventually, Tyler was very down to meeting Anthony and even had a photo and thrown in a tight hug around the 23-year-old Aerosmith fan.

Tyler eventually revealed that he was at the medical supplies store to get some back brace, and when he found out that Anthony was heartbroken for not being able to get tickets for his upcoming concert, the Aerosmith vocalist’s generous heart took the wheel.

In the abundance of Tyler’s heart, he made sure that Anthony would see him perform on stage at his upcoming concert at the time.

“OMG i’m so excited, I went to Niagara Orthodics today before work and Steven Tyler was there and gave backstage passes for his concert tonight to Anthony Eric’s dad and Jordan his dance teacher. I’m so excited for them,” Diane said in a Facebook post at the time.

During Aerosmith’s concert at the Fallsview Casino in Niagara Falls last 2016, Tyler shocked everyone when he invited Anthony up on stage to accompany him on “Sweet Emotion” while the boy rocked it out with his yellow shakers.

“I was shocked. I didn’t know I was going on stage,” Anthony told CBC News at the time. “I was really, really excited to meet him. It was my dream come true.”

The video of the two has already gone viral and is still being reshared. People are incredibly in awe of the sweet gesture that Tyler made for his fan.

“This is so amazing. Makes my day and got tears in my eyes. Anthony is so happy. Beautiful. Truly beautiful,” a fan said

“Awesome. Steven Tyler continues to amaze me. I’m a bigger fan than I have ever been...and I’ve always been a big fan,” another commented

After the once-in-a-lifetime encounter, Diane recalled the kindness that Tyler had shown to them.

“He just stopped in to get a back brace because his back was sore and he said to me, he said, ‘I didn’t stop in here to get a back brace ... I stopped in here to meet my new friend Anthony,’” she recalled. “What a wonderful, wonderful man.”
