Known as "The Crocodile Hunter," Robert's father Steve was a television personality who was known for his outspoken personality and enthusiasm for a wide variety of wildlife. He was also a conservationist and environmentalist. He married his wife Terri in 1992, and the couple had two kids, a girl whom they named Binni and their son Robert. Binni is now 20, and Robert has recently turned 16, which means he can begin learning to drive.
Robert is actively posting on social media to demonstrate how he shares the same passions as his father for the outdoors and wildlife, and he has recently posted some photos of himself with his father's old truck. He captioned one of the pictures by revealing how eager he is to use his father's truck to learn how to drive. Many fans of Steve saw the post, and they respond with positive comments.

During the wildfire catastrophe that was raging in the region, Robert and his mother were interviewed by Sunrise to discuss the disaster's impact on local wildlife. Robert became emotional when describing the harm that has been done to animals. He mentioned that animals are not only getting hurt by the fire, but also by related problems that have been caused by the fire.
Terri made a particular point about the harm that has befallen the Koala bears, and he revealed that over one-third of those adorable creatures have been lost in Australia. She explained that the Koala was vulnerable because of their instinct to climb into trees during moments of danger, and many of the trees were eucalyptus varieties that tend to explode in the presence of high heat.
The Irwin family played an important role in safeguarding wildlife during the disaster along with their medical team. They own a hospital that has treated over 90,000 animals in recent months.
The family tragically lost Steve during an unlikely accident involving a stingray during the filming of one of his television programs at the Great Barrier Reef off the coast of Australia. This year, Steve would have turned 58 on Feb. 22. During his recent birthday, his family posted some thoughtful words to honor him and give tribute.
