Terri and Steve started talking about wildlife and all of the other passions in their lives, and she wondered at one point whether Steve was married or not. She got an answer to that question, but it wasn't the one that she wanted to hear. Steve asked her if she wanted to meet his girlfriend. Terri was despondent after that.

That feeling didn't last because when Steve called for his "girlfriend," and she came running, it turned out that she was actually a small dog! Terri's spirits lifted immediately. Terri also needed to return to the United States, but she hoped that she was going to hear from Steve again.

Steve promised to keep in touch with Terri, but three weeks went by, and she hadn't heard from him. She began to think that what she thought was a connection wasn't really anything at all. Exactly one month later, Steve called Terri and told her that he was coming to Oregon for a visit, and we all know what happened next.

Bindi and Steve were both tour guides at the same zoo when they met their soul mates and fell in love. Bindi thinks that life works out in mysterious ways.
