Award-winning actor Harrison Ford has quite a few things to be proud of. He starred as San Holo in the hit "Star Wars" series, played the infamous Indiana Jones, and has won dozens of awards and accolades. His films have grossed over $9.3 billion over the years, making him the seventh-highest grossing actor in North America.

Though no one can argue Ford's success in his career, there's one area of his life that is the closest to his heart—his kids. At 84 years old, Ford has four biological children and one adopted child.

Though Ford is known for being very private, he doesn't hold back when it comes to speaking about his kids. Anytime he speaks about his family, he praises them for their support and the love they bring to his life.

In 2016, Ford spoke about his oldest daughter, Georgia, and her struggle with epilepsy. He said she had her first seizure at a sleepover as a child, but she wasn't correctly diagnosed until years later. In an interview with the Daily News, Ford called her his hero.

I admire a lot of things about her. I admire her perseverance, her talent, her strength. She's my hero. I love her," Ford said.

He went on to describe how his daughter's battle with epilepsy affected him as a father. "When you have a loved one who suffers from this disease, it can be devastating," Ford said. You know how it affects their lives, their future, their opportunities, and you want desperately to find mitigation. You want to find a way that they can live a comfortable and effective life."

Ford has been married three times and has at least one child from each marriage. Though his children have different mothers, Ford has been a present and active father in all of his children's lives.

Harrison Ford's first child, Ben, was born in September 1967, and in May of 1969, his second child Willard was born. Both were born when Ford was married to his first wife, American chef and illustrator Mary Marquardt.

Ben Ford is now an accomplished chef who owns his own restaurant. In a 2014 interview with Williams Sonoma, Ben told the story of how he started his career in the restaurant industry.

"I found my way into my first kitchens the hard way: knocking on the back door and asking for a job. Thank goodness it wasn't long before I found a home at Chez Panisse, and the rest is history," Ben said.

In addition to his career as a chef, Ben is also an author. His book, Taming the Feast, features step-by-step instructions and illustrations to help chefs and restaurant owners create menus.

Willard Ford went on to become an entrepreneur, and he started both the Strong Sports Gym and The Ludwig Clothing Company. In 2020, William was forced to close the gym due to the pandemic, though he still operates the clothing line.

He announced the decision and thanked his customers for their support in an Instagram post. "With nowhere to turn we're calling it quits," William wrote. "Thank you all for your loyal patronage and friendship."

Both Ben and Willard are now married, and each have two children of their own. In a 2021 Instagram post, Ben wrote about how much he loves being a father under a photo of him with his two sons.

"There is never a day that goes by that I do not thank my lucky stars for what these boys brought to my life," Ben said. "Thank you for being my ultimate teacher. I love you to the outer reaches of the universe and back."

The Younger Three

Ford and Marquardt divorced in 1979, and in 1969, he married screenwriter, Melissa Mathison. Their son Malcolm was born in 1987, and their daughter Georgia was born in 1990. The pair separated in 2000.

Though Malcolm Ford wasn't interested in pursuing his father's line of work, he is a presence in the entertainment industry. His indie band, The Dough Rollers, has worked with music-industry giants such as Queens of the Stone Age and Jack White.

Georgia followed in her father's footsteps when she entered the acting world. Though she's not as active in the industry as her father, she has starred in films like "True Story" and "The Visitor."

Ford began dating actress Calista Flockhart in 2002 when they met at the Golden Globe Awards. They married in June of 2010, and Ford gained two new members of his family—both Flockhart and her adopted son Liam. Flockhart's adopted son.

Liam Ford is the youngest of the bunch. At 19 years old, he is a full-time student at Amherst College in Massachusetts. Liam is also the most private, which is likely due to his age and his father's desire for privacy from the press.

Ford seems to be the type of father who will do anything for his kids. In an appearance on The Ellen Degeneres Show in 2019, he said he let his youngest son, Liam, convince him to go skydiving.

"It was fun, it was great. I did like it," Ford said. "We're not talking to his mother about it."

Though Harrison Ford wants to keep his personal life as private as he can, his kids share details about what it was like to have Ford as a father. On Father's Day in 2019, Ford's son Ben shared a tribute to his father in a post on Twitter. He wrote the caption alongside a photo of the two grilling together.

"I love this photo of both of us grilling it up. Metaphorically I think it speaks volumes," Ben wrote in the Twitter caption. "He taught me resiliency as a young father and later helped give me the courage to pursue my dreams."

No one can argue that Ford's kids have all been successful in their respective careers. Though some may attribute the kids' success to their father's fame, it's clear that Ford had an influence on his children, encouraging them to chase their dreams and never give up on anything they want to achieve. With a father as iconic as Harrison Ford, the five kids have no shortage of inspiration.
