The capacity of the Staples Center holds 20,000 people and expected attendees include Kobe's family, friends, and those from the NBA community. This doesn't include the thousands of fans who bought tickets and will be attending.

The Staples Center was where Kobe had played for The Lakers for over 20 years, so the venue suited the ocassion.

The official event website has stated that streets around the building will be closed due to security and traffic control. This protocol follows that of the Michael Jackson and Nipsey Hussle, who also had their memorials at the Staples Center.

It's still not clear to say who exactly will speak at the memorial, as there are many people from Kobe's personal and NBA family that have kind regards to voice.

The livestream for the memorial will start at 9:30 a.m. PST.
