Sports Broadcaster Provides Engaging Commentary While His Dogs Race To Finish Their Dinner

Sports broadcaster Andrew Cotter filmed his dogs racing to finish their dinners and gave hilarious commentary to go along with it. He posted the video to his twitter account in March.

Meet Olive and Mabel. They are competitive racers. Umm, no – not on the track. (Although we don't doubt they'd do well on there.)

They are racing to see who can finish their dinners the fastest. After a quick pre-game by their dad, sports broadcaster Andrew Cotter, the two labs go head to head dive right into it. Literally.

As the dogs begin to chow down, Andrew immediately starts providing commentary, providing otherwise inaccessible information to viewers in a timely manner so as to enhance their viewing experience. "Both settling quickly into [a] rhythm – you can see the contrast in styles," he says. Not only is he the commentator, but he is also the cameraman for this highly-anticipated sporting event.

Panning the camera to show Mabel's tail-wagging, Andrew comments, "Mabel, heavy tail use. Happy to be alive, everything is amazing." So far, the race is absolutely captivating, and Andrew's commentary makes it even more worthwhile. This even caught the attention of actor Ryan Reynolds.

It's at this moment we see the difference between Olive and Mabel's racing style, which can also tell us about their personalities. "Olive, more steady, wasting little energy" says Andrew as he focuses the camera to his black labrador's not-so-waggy tail. Who won? Watch the video for yourself to find out.

"Without a hint of irony I can say this is the best 90 seconds of sport I’ve seen in weeks," wrote one fan.

Andrew posted a follow-up video just last week where he showed the two athletes having a nice dip in a pond during their walk. We're on the edges of our seats waiting to watch round two.
