One teacher went well beyond her job description when she included her students at her wedding.

Kinsey French is a special education teacher at the Christian Academy of Louisville Rock Creek in Louisville, Kentucky. Over the last three years, Kinsey has been teaching as part of an inclusive educational program that caters to students with Down syndrome.

According to TODAY Parents, Kinsey was about to marry her middle school sweetheart, Josh. Because she could not imagine her students not being a part of her special day, Kinsey asked her six special education students to be a part of the ceremony. The children range in age between 7 and 11 years old and were asked to be ring bearers and flower girls in the ceremony.

In a sweet twist of coincidence, Kinsey and her husband actually met at the same school where she now teaches. Knowing how important the school is to French, Josh proposed there in front of her adoring students. Josh was equally excited at the idea of including Kinsey's students at their wedding. The students were even presented with their own personal wedding invitations, asking them to participate in the special affair.

The parents of the students were especially touched at Kinsey's gesture. "I just felt like Kinsey and the teachers treat our kids like family," one mom was quoted in TODAY Parents. In addition to the six students, the pair's nephew and niece were also a part of the official wedding party.

Kinsey wanted the girls to be treated like princesses. She gave them a bevy of gifts such as necklaces and purses so that they would feel treasured. The students all agreed that their favorite part of the day was the food and the dancing.
