A group of stranded soldiers was shown a dose of kindness by workers at Dwight D. Eisenhower National Airport in Wichita, Kansas.

As she wrote on a Facebook post, Southwest Airlines employee Hayle' Daun Griffith arrived to work at 4:30 am to see 100 troops stranded at the airport. The employees found out that the plane the soldiers had been traveling on was forced to stop for fuel in the middle of their trip across the country.

The Marines had left the Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville, North Carolina the night before and were bound for the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center in Southern California.

However, because airline crewmembers can only work a designated number of hours per day, the crew for the Marines' flight had to stop for their required rest time. Because of this, the troops were left stranded at the Wichita airport.

The Wichita airport is not a large facility, meaning the food services close down overnight. The soldiers had been left at the airport with no food. But the employees of Southwest Airlines wanted to show their gratitude for the service of the military members and so they made 200 breakfast burritos. The employees also provided donuts, milk, and orange juice to go along with the burritos.

Griffith was so proud of her team's efforts to provide breakfast for the soldiers that she shared pictures of the group on her Facebook post. The post has already been shared over 20,000 times.
