Southern Boy Gives Grandpa Adorable Driving Directions

In 2018, little Southern boy Jake Boone was caught on tape adorably giving directions to his dad. 

Cultural differences and backgrounds across the human race that bring about various languages and accents are some of the things that make life interesting. Isn’t it funny how someone can instantly guess where you hail from simply by listening to how you pronounce words like 'aluminum?' While it’s normal never to have to think about accents and how they might affect your daily life, some people are defined by how they talk and spell out certain words and phrases.

Jake Boone is the little boy’s name. The video begins with Jake rambling in his deep accent before he settles to give directions. For a foreigner, this might turn out to be a little hard to put down the words as he speaks. All in all, his mastery of the language is ironically cute, reassuring, and mind-boggling at the same time.

The accent often turns out to be a challenge for most people. In fact, some people go the extra load to hire translators who can simplify this deep southern rural accent.

If you are one of the country people, you may not have a hard time understanding this little boy’s accent. From the video, a man who we assume is Jake’s dad asks the little boy to explain the directions of how to get to Briar Creek. Jake takes the podium and gears his mastery into the full legendary level, and in his own country-style, he begins explaining.

It’s mind-boggling watching this small kid explain the directions fluently in his own southern accent. It’s impressive!

Jake begins, “You turn on the left and go right straight to Brar Creek. Then you get on the six-mile road, and then you turn back on the one mile. You know, uh, Briar Creek Road, turn onto the six-mile and go back to where you were at. Then you go on one mile, to this mile, then you go back.”

It's funny and interesting listening to small Jake giving instructions in the accent. However, relying on him for directions might not be the best idea. That doesn’t matter after all. It’s the accent that will blow your mind away.
