Son Of Christopher Reeve Opens Up About Losing Both His Parents At 13

Rick Yancey wrote in "The Monstrumologists" about losing a parent. He said: "A child has little defense against the sight of a parent laid low." He continued, explaining that parents are often the most solid thing in a person's life. Parents are much like the earth below your feet. If a parent can fall apart what is stopping the mountains from tumbling?

Ricky Yancey's ideas were easy to grasp. Most people have lost a parent; some have even lost both parents. Will Reeve, the son of Christopher Reeve, knows what its like to lose both parents. In fact, both of his parents had died by the time he was 13.

Christopher Reeve suffered a horrible horse riding accident that left him severally crippled. In 2004 Christopher Reeve passed away after a bedsore led to a heart attack. Dava Reeve, Will's mother, found out she had lung cancer just a short time later. She ended up dying only 17 months after the death of Christopher.

Will Reeve was obviously devastated. Will said that he was at the lowest he been since his father died when he said his goodbyes to his mother. Will thinks of his childhood as a positive, believing that it can only get better as he moves forward.

"There's nowhere to go but up," he once said.

Will Reeve was born in 1992. He, like his father, is an actor. He was featured in movies such as In The Glooming and Everyone's Hero.

Will's story is truly inspiring. He lost both his parents at a young age, and he still turned out to be an incredible person.

Tell people about his story; it may be exactly what they need to be inspired.
