One high school wrestler in Ohio received praise recently for a thrilling rendition of the National Anthem. The student, Isaac Bryant, attends Mechanicsburg High School and was participating in Division III of the state wrestling championships.

Once Isaac realized that no singer was on hand to sing the Star-Spangled Banner, the teenage wrestler stepped up to the plate. His rendition of the song went viral and the wrestler received praise for his performance.

One commenter gave Isaac kudos for his singing and said he hoped the young man won all of his matches. Another commenter hoped Isaac did well in his matches but said it did not matter. The commenter believed the singing performance was all that was needed to elevate Isaac to the status of a champion.

A third commenter expressed an understanding of how difficult it is to sing the national anthem. She thanked Isaac for the beautiful performance.

The 17-year-old wrestler appeared recently on Fox & Friends. During the interview, Isaac explained he sings all the time and that music and singing is an important part of his life.

Isaac told ABC 6 he was a little confused when he saw that no singer was present to perform the national anthem. He said he was happy for the opportunity to sing the national anthem.

Isaac wants to dispel the notion that young people are not proud to be Americans today. He is tired of hearing that his generation is not patriotic. Isaac professed proudly he is a patriot and knows a lot of young people who are also patriots.

According to ABC 6, Isaac's mother, April, said she felt extreme pride at watching her son sing the national anthem. She says she is used to hearing him sing but the heart and pride he put into the song brought tears to her eyes. Isaac's father, Barry, also told ABC 6, his son is pretty good at whatever he chooses to do so the national anthem performance did not surprise him.
