Snowboarding 4-Year-Old Sings Adorable Song About Falling After Dad Mics Her Up

There is no greater joy for a parent than watching their child express happiness. Whether it's enjoying big milestone moments together or simply having fun with mundane everyday activities, families should cherish the time they spend with one another.

In 2022, a family from Yakima, Washington, went viral for sharing a video of their child snowboarding. While the video may sound simple, it was incredibly adorable to watch. Robert Garlow uploaded the clip of his then-4-year-old daughter Aubrin Sage while dressed as a dinosaur.

Aubrin has been snowboarding since 2018, when she was just 18 months old. The entire Garlow family, including Robert's wife Samantha and the pair's youngest child, a son named Torin, went snowboarding together for the very first time in 2022.

So when Robert uploaded a video of his daughter snowboarding, he certainly never expected it to warm everyone else's heart as much as it warmed his own. In the video, his daughter showed off her skills trekking down the slopes. Robert had put a microphone on Aubrin prior to her taking off so he could hear everything that happened and understand her thought process more.

At first, the father of two had no intention of sharing the video with others. "I almost didn't even post the video because to me, who hears her talk and sing every day, it didn't feel extraordinary," he explained to Good Morning America.

However, the video turned out absolutely hilarious, and people are sure to sing Aubrin's precious song the next time they hit the slopes themselves.

In the video, an off-screen rider asked Aubrin, "Hey, what kind of dinosaur are you?" The tiny tot replied, "Powder-saurus!"

The little girl was stuck in the snow and sang a cute song about how it was OK to fall down when snowboarding. It seemed Aubrin was already well aware of how people sometimes make mistakes but don't need to dwell on them.

Some of the lyrics of Aubrin's adorable song included: "I won't fall. Maybe I will. That's OK. 'Cause we all fall."

Speaking with GMA, Robert talked about how Aubrin has certainly proven to be well beyond her years and how snowboarding has taught her many life lessons. He said:

"She's learned how to deal with adversity whether that be inclement weather, personal discomfort or frustration and maintain a positive attitude through it. She's spent a lot of time outside in the mountains during the winter so not many situations in life faze her. She's become brave and confident and competent at problem solving."

The father added, "She's also an old soul, seemingly wise beyond her years. She's always surprising us with her intelligence and thoughts and curiosity."

Since then, the family has uploaded videos on TikTok and Instagram showing off their snowboarding skills and making people smile. One video showed now-5-year-old Aubrin rocking a tutu and "CONFIDENCE."

The family celebrated the 1-year anniversary of the video going viral in an Instagram post in February 2023. Robert wrote:

"Who would have thought the joy and encouraging words of a tiny 4 year old girl on her snowboard would be broadcast and shared around the world, reaching those who needed to hear them most and cultivating this community we're all enjoying now."
