Small Orphan Grizzly Bear Cub Adores Having Her Feet Twiddled By Man Who Rescued Her

D'awww! A super-cute orphaned grizzly bear cub named Bella absolutely loves it when National Geographic TV show host naturalist, filmmaker, and founder of the Montana Grizzly Encounter , Casey Anderson tickles her feet. Anderson rescued this little girl in 2016, and she could not be more grateful.

Anderson's love for grizzlies is immense, as he shows in a longer video in which he talks about Brutus, a bear he began bonding with over a decade ago. It is Brutus who inspired Anderson to open a grizzly bear rescue sanctuary.

Anderson even wrote a book about Brutus entitled "The Story of Brutus: My Life With Brutus the Bear and the Grizzlies of North America." Brutus is still alive and even has a few film credits under his belt–"Iron Ridge and Pretty Ugly People."

A lot of people are still afraid of grizzly bears because they do not understand grizzly bear nature. As Anderson says, "The real battle is helping people understand that they’re not monsters. And hopefully taking that fear and changing it into respect." Obviously, Bella is no monster!

Of course, Anderson cautions people to not keep grizzlies as pets. They are still wild animals and should only be handled by trained professionals who can offer them sanctuary. According to Montana Grizzly Encounter, three of the bears at the sanctuary were unfortunately born in captivity, so releasing them into the wild could be disastrous for them.

Make no mistake, Bella and her grizzly pals are totally spoiled. Visitors to the sanctuary can safely view them within large enclosures as these bears roam about and do bear things. Thousands of children come each year with their schools (as school groups get in for free) to learn about grizzlies and why we should respect, but not fear them.

At Montana Grizzly Encounter, you can see for yourself why Bella and the other bears are so wonderful. But if you can't go there in person, you can enjoy watching Bella play with Anderson. Be sure to check out the other bears (including Brutus) as they go about their days. You can learn to love these grizzlies!
