Small German Shepherd Puppy Starts Service Dog School

The first day at school elicits mixed reactions in different learners. Some love their school and quickly get accustomed to their new environment and friends, while for others it can be traumatizing. In fact, some kids often throw tantrums, cry uncontrollably, and protest for days every time their guardians drop them at school.

A tiny German shepherd puppy recently experienced his first day of school at a service dog school.

The puppy was probably leaving the comfort of his home for the first time, and it would be the first time he was spending so much time away for his owner. A lot must have gone on his head — probably feeling abandoned, wondering why his owner was treating his so harshly by leaving him in an unfamiliar environment, under the care of strangers.

For most children, when they are dropped at school the first day, they are overwhelmed by the fear of not seeing their caregivers or parents again. It almost feels like they are losing them forever since they can barely understand that schooldays are short and fun.

Kids do not understand that their teachers and school friends will be a historical part of them for the rest of their lives. They do not even know that some of these people may end up being the most meaningful friends they will make in life.

This was the same for this tiny German shepherd until he got accustomed to his environment and the trainers. And when the service lessons began, the experience got even more appealing for him. Most of us also loved school when we began to enjoy the nursery rhymes and mastering the lessons. It was fun repeating them, even though we could hardly pronounce most of them well since our language skills were still developing.

This tiny puppy sits calmly on a couch, following his service lessons, showing all signs that he is having fun at school. It may have overwhelmed him when it all began, but not anymore. He now looks like he is ready for all the learning the world has to offer for his kinds.

Maybe he has reflected on life and realized that these lessons will be the key to making him as great as his father or that intimidating adult German shepherd dog he has been hearing of or seeing in his neighborhood.

Like this little pup, we also have to find something to motivate us to keep going at what we do. Usually, it is a promise for some form of achievement or gain. After finding a purpose, this tiny furry friend endured time on the couch and happily repeated instructions and activities to learn. After all, learning a new skill requires keenness and persistence.

Let your friends see this video so that they too can recall their first days in school, and let us know how your first day was. You may be surprised at what pleasant memories that may elicit. It may even be more fun if you and your friends have shared memories, especially if you were schoolmates.
