Sleepy Young Foal Adorably Stretches Out To Nap In Sunshine

What's cuter than a baby animal? How about a baby foal named Felix stretching out on the ground to enjoy the sunshine? In this video posted on July 6th, 2020, we see Felix the foal taking a nap on a farm near Peterborough, Ontario.

Felix was born on a farm near Peterborough, Ontario. This farm offers miles of rolling green hills where young horses like Felix can run around and play as much as they want. The farm also has extensive forest trails where Felix and his caretakers can go riding when he's older. For now, though, he's content to lie down and relax in the sunshine.

Like his mother, Fling, Felix has a calm, trusting disposition. While some foals can be skittish around people, Felix has no problem spending time with his human caretakers. It's like he was born to live among people. At the end of the video, you can clearly see one of the farmers petting Felix like a cat, which he lazily enjoys as he relaxes in the grass.

In a lot of ways, foals are like puppies or toddlers. Just before this video was taken, Felix had been running around the farm to get all the "zoomies" out, just like an excited puppy darting around the yard. Now that he's tired and worn out, he's decided to collapse on the ground and bask in the sunshine like a lazy cat. He lies on the ground, stretches, and even scratches his ear with his back leg.

Most people see horses as stoic and dignified, but they can be playful, too. Foals in particular are full of excess energy. And when that energy is spent, what better way to spend the rest of your day than relaxing in a field of grass?
