Young children often have an incredible bond with their siblings. Unfortunately for one little girl in Oklahoma, her siblings have been adopted while she remains in foster care. Could you be the person to give this little girl her forever home?

For 6-year-old Kaitlynn, few things are more important than her bond with her brother and two sisters. In fact, sibling bonds are so important to Kaitlynn that Frozen is one of her favorite movies. She loves the relationship between Anna and Elsa and wants to replicate that in her own life.

Before the pandemic, she was able to see her siblings regularly, as Oklahoma News 4 reports in the video below. But now that COVID-19 protocols have limited their time together, she needs a permanent home more than ever. Her other three siblings have already been adopted, leaving Kaitlynn the only child without a forever home.

And we can't imagine why. When you watch the video, it's clear that Kaitlynn is a bright, playful little girl who loves life and doesn't let anything get her down. She enjoys playing pretend, drawing with chalk, and talking about her favorite movie. This little girl would be a great addition to anyone's family.

Unfortunately, she's not the only one

The Oklahoma foster care system is overrun with abandoned children. Statistics show that every year there are consistently more than 100,000 kids awaiting adoption in the U.S. For this reason, children in foster care can lead confusing and unpredictable lives. Some children never even get adopted: they just bounce around different foster homes until they finally turn eighteen.

For Kaitlynn, being placed in foster care also meant being separated from her three siblings. Her siblings are all being adopted by different families, so they won't get to live in the same house together. While nothing can replace the bond that she has with her biological siblings, Kaitlynn's looking for a home that can give her a new sibling or two. She's looking for someone who can help her, play with her, and be her best friend as they grow up together in these unusual circumstances.

When you watch the video, you'd never know that Kaitlynn was in foster care. This little girl is cheerful, friendly, optimistic, and happy to play with the news anchor who's covering her story. She's bright and adventurous and loves spending time with others. It's clear that this girl would make a great addition to any family that chose to adopt her.

Despite everything, Kaitlynn remains optimistic

According to her social worker Tifani Burns, it would be best if Kaitlynn found a family with two parents and at least one sibling. She also says that it would be best if the household had a stay-at-home parent who could look after Kaitlynn during the day. This girl loves to play and have fun, and she needs someone who can match her energy.

If you live in this area, you may be able to foster this girl or give her a permanent home. And if not, there are countless other ways you can help children in foster care. Consider volunteering at a shelter or opening your home to foster children. It's a great way to make a difference in these children's lives.
