Six Fabulous Photos Of Queen Elizabeth II And Her Family Enjoying Themselves At Royal Garden Parties

Over the course of each year, the Queen welcomes over 30,000 guests to her annual summer garden parties at Buckingham Palace and the Palace of Holyroodhouse. These royal garden parties are one of the highlights of Her Majesty's summer calendar but due to the coronavirus pandemic, they have all been canceled for the year. Nevertheless, fans of the British royal family can enjoy these fabulous photos of the monarch and her family at garden parties.

That stance, though. The Queen looked wonderful in a red and white ensemble as she attended the last summer Garden Party of 2008 at Buckingham Palace.

Here is pre-motherhood Meghan, Duchess of Sussex attending The Prince of Wales' 70th Birthday Patronage Celebration held at Buckingham Palace on May 22, 2018 in London, England. Her outfit is nothing flashy but she still manages to look like a million bucks.

The Duchess of Cambridge made her debut at a royal garden party in 2012 wearing a bubblegum pink number from Emilia Wickstead.

Her adorable dimple really stands out here, emphasizing the duchess' sweet appearance.

Black-and-white photography looks more formal and serious, and while the photo may look simpler, the mood of the photo is more intense making it more emotional. The absence of color allows concentrating on the subject without any distracting elements.

This major throwback is a great example: Princess Elizabeth, (yes, before she became Queen) and her then-fiance, Philip Mountbatten at a Buckingham Palace garden party on 10th July 1947.

The long-time married couple attended the first summer garden parties of 2011 looking posh: Philip looking ever dapper with a pastel yellow flower that matched the Queen's lilac dress.

Let's hope this pandemic tides over soon so we can see more fabulous royal family garden party pictures like these. Pass this along to your friends and family.
