Sir Rod Stewart Ecstatic To Become Grandfather Again Thanks To Daughter Ruby

Sir Rod Stewart has left an indelible mark in the hearts and minds of millions of people worldwide, continuing to make an impact in the lives of many up until today through his music. But outside his career as an artist, Sir Rod is known for being a great family man. Having been given the gift of becoming a grandfather for the first time in 2011 through the child of his daughter Kimberly named Delilah, the father-of-eight will soon welcome the newest addition to their family.
 
Rod Stewart is among the best-selling music artists of all time. Having started his career in 1962, Stewart joined Jimmy Powell and The Five Dimensions as the band's harmonica player and vocalist. Later on, he jumped on a few different bands before
landing on his current one, Faces.
 
Apart from joining different groups throughout his musical career, Stewart also established himself as a soloist. To date, he has released a total of 32 studio albums, and seven of those reached No. 1 on the UK Albums Charts.
 
He is most known for his hits like 'Sailing,' 'Tonight's the Night (Gonna Be Alright),' and 'You're in My Heart (The Final Acclaim),' among many other chart-toppers that eventually became classic hits.
 
Stewart is a recipient of the Grammy Award, a BRIT Award, and an Ivor Novello Award. In 1994, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2005, the UK Music Hall of Fame in 2006, and a CBE in the 2007 New Year Honours. Eventually, he was appointed Knight Bachelor during the 2016 Birthday Honours.
 
In February 2014, legendary British rock star Rod Stewart was in the midst of a concert tour in South America when he invited a special guest to join him on stage for a rendition of 'Forever Young.'

The guest happened to be his own daughter, and the video of this performance has attained viral status over the years. 

Ruby Stewart is the fourth child of Rod Stewart. She was born in 1987 after her father's peak rockstar years. Since Rod Stewart has been married to various fashion models over the years, particularly those who have appeared in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue. Two of his daughters have gone into modeling, and this is what Ruby also did on account of the model looks she inherited from her mother, Kelly Emberg.

Although Ruby was fairly successful as a lingerie model, she decided to follow in her father's musical footsteps in 2010 as she formed a rock band based in Los Angeles. But that first project only lasted a couple of years, according to Express & Star.

While Ruby was still figuring out her next move as a musician, she contemplated advice given by her father, a man who has never shied away from exploring different genres to make hit songs.

Ruby discovered that her sweet and feminine voice would be appropriate for American country music, which prompted her to switch from art rock to a more folksy sound that paid homage to her Southern California roots.

In August 2022, Ruby penned a heartwarming message about her vacation with her family in Italy, which she described as "long overdue" as the last time they spent time together as a family was in 2015. She thanked her stepmom Penny Lancaster for getting them all together.

"We all live in different places now and sometimes we miss some pretty important milestones in one another's life. It can be difficult getting us all together, but the incredible @penny.lancaster managed to do it this time," she wrote.

"This trip was so much more than a vacation, but a bonding experience. We laughed, we cried, caught up on lost time, we sang and danced, even suffered from a few water sport injuries. I am beyond grateful for this mixed batch of personalities that is the Stewart Clan. I don't know where I'd be with out you lot. Love you guys," she added.

Expressing her gratitude to her dad for teaching her what the word family means, she said:

"Thank you dad for reminding us of the importance of family and Thank you Penny for always bringing us together again."

Meanwhile, Ruby is set to become a mother as she posted an Instagram story in January 2022 that she is pregnant with her first child with her partner Jake Kalick. This means her father, Sir Rod, will soon become a grandfather of two.

Sir Rod announced the gender of his grandchild himself during a gender reveal event attended by their closest family members. He couldn't hide his excitement when he finally said, "It's a boy!" in front of the people gathered, including his daughter and her partner.

Ruby also posted a clip of her ultrasound on Instagram, sharing her excitement to welcome her son.

"Out of all of the things that happened in 2022 you were by far the most beautiful…We can't wait to meet you…Baby boy Kalick coming in April," Ruby said.

Sir Rod replied to her post with:

"So happy for the two of you."

His wife Penny said:

"Can't wait to meet him."

Ruby's sister Kimberly, said: "Def has the Stewart nose."
