Christmas is a stressful time of year for many families. Millions of people fight to pay their monthly bills and some parents do not have extra money to spend on Christmas presents for their children. A single Sacramento mother who works three jobs spent the whole year saving up money to purchase gifts for her children. After buying the gifts, she returned home to realize the presents were stolen.
Angelica Huitt has been working hard all year. A single mother raised her, and she was in the same position herself. In the process of moving into a new rental home in South Sacramento County, this mom decided to put all of her time and attention towards her children, KTXL reports.
She is working three jobs while trying to attend an online school.

Despite struggling to pay the bills, she was able to scrape together some extra money to pay for some Christmas presents. However, someone broke into her house and stole all of the gifts she purchased, amounting to $1,000.
What's scarier is that Huitt thinks the burglars were inside the house when she returned home. "I think they were hiding in the attic," Huitt told KTXL.
Her story went viral, and many people have donated money so that her children can have a great Christmas. Her GoFundMe page titled "Replacement of Christmas" exceeded its goal, making $1,386, more than the value of the stolen items, which could potentially go towards repairs to the home.
This story is an excellent example of the power of helping others. Despite everything that has happened to her, people came together and helped her replace her Christmas. Anyone who is looking for motivation during the holidays should read about her story.
